Project of the Centralized Nuclear Spent Fuel Storage on the territory of the Chernobyl Zone: problems of implementation

The experts of the Ukrainian environmental non-government organization, National Ecological Centre of Ukraine, believe that the existing project of the centralized nuclear spent fuel storage (CNSFS) on site of Chernobyl NPP does not resolve the problem of spent nuclear fuel in Ukraine.

Construction of CNSFS on site of Chernobyl NPP contravenes a number of decrees and resolutions adopted by the government executive and legislative bodies of Ukraine, more specifically the Decrees of the President of Ukraine, Resolution of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine as well as Resolutions of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. more…
